Wingman privacy policy
Effective date: April 24, 2026
Overview
Wingman is designed to run locally on your machine and automate your browser session on your request. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and what stays on your device.
Information we collect
We collect account and licensing information needed to operate the service, including your email address, authentication tokens, and billing-related records handled by our payment provider.
When you use Wingman, the extension may access browser data locally to perform the actions you request. This can include URLs, page titles, page content, cookies, downloads, tab state, browser interaction data, and local extension state such as privacy settings, session IDs, and command logs.
How we use information
We use account and licensing information to authenticate users, manage subscriptions, provide support, and enforce product limits.
We use browser data only to perform the requested automation inside your local browser session and to show status or results back to you. We do not use it for advertising, behavioral profiling, or unrelated product purposes.
Sharing and transfer
- We do not sell user data.
- We do not transfer user data for unrelated purposes.
- We share limited account, licensing, and billing data with the service providers necessary to operate the product, including our hosting and authentication provider and Stripe for payments.
- We do not use user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
Retention
We retain account and licensing data only as long as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Browser data and local operational state stay on your device unless you intentionally export them or send them to a connected service. Local state may include tokens, settings, session IDs, privacy preferences, and command logs.
Third-party services
We use third-party providers for hosting, authentication, and payments. These providers may process limited personal data on our behalf under their own privacy terms. We do not authorize them to use that data for their own unrelated purposes.
Security
Wingman is designed to keep browser automation local to your machine. We use token-protected local bridge connections and profile isolation to reduce cross-session exposure. We do not store browsing cookies in the cloud as part of normal operation, and optional cookie or download features are only enabled when you grant the relevant browser permission.
Your choices
You can stop using the extension at any time. You can also clear local Wingman state, remove the extension, and contact us to request account help or data deletion where applicable.
